Abstract

In the present work, we construct the energy wave number characteristic by considering the E- and k · q -dependent linear terms in the form factor expansion and use the transition metal model potential (TMMP) of Animalu in resonance form for the calculation of phonon frequencies in noble metals. The dispersion curves are considerably raised relative to the local approximation results and are seen to be in reasonably good agreement with the experimental data.
