Abstract

The nonlinear excitation of temperature waves in superfluid solutions of He3 in He4 through the absorption of optical waves is considered. A nonlinear equation which describes such an interaction is derived, an expression for the nonlinear interaction length is obtained, and the necessary value of the interaction length for which second sound excited by two light waves can be amplified from fluctuations to observable values is estimated in order of magnitude.
