Non-experimental dosimetry of sterilization processing in an automatized 60Co irradiation plant—II. Experimental verification of calculation model for interchanging unequal mass series of irradiated product

Abstract

The experimental ethanol-chlorobenzene dosimetry has confirmed the validity of the calculation model for the non-experimental dosimetry for radiation sterilization processing. (1) The experiment has indicated the irradiation asymmetry of two critical centres of double-cartons with the minimum absorbed dose at the point of processing, where the product series of unequal mass meet. The non-experimental method can be easily modified to take care of this situation.
