Abstract
The study follows the non-experimental dosimetric method for determination of absorbed radiation doses in the sterilization processing in an automatized irradiation plant proposed (1) and experimentally verified (2) for interchanging irradiated product series of unequal mass. In the present study a computer simulation model has been established for the non-experimental dosimetry of irradiation sterilization of double-cartons with products of non-standard (smaller) size. Application of the computer simulation shows that the absorbed dose for achieving microbiological sterility (25 kJ/kg) can be obtained by using more economically the irradiation time. The method is applicable to various source activities and to 60Co irradiation plants designed on a similar principle. prozesses in einer automatisierten industriellen Co-60 bestrahlungsanlage - III
