Abstract
We consider the coherent dynamics of electrons in double quantum wells under ultrafast intersubband photoexcitation. We analyse the effect of the Rabi oscillations both on the population redistribution and on the dipole moment oscillations which gives rise to the THz emission from the excited structure. The crossover from the quantum beating to the Rabi oscillations has been analysed.
