Abstract

By assuming nucleon’s structure is given in terms of its constituent valance quark structure, Triton magnetic moment is determined. In the Isgur–Karl model framework, nine-quark system wave function in ground and first excited states and all possible permutations are considered to calculate the expectation value of the magnetic moment operator of the triton. The result of our calculation is in good agreement with the experimental value, as compared to shell model and lattice QCD values.
