Abstract

The paper describes US and rest of the world interdependency in terms of a game between two policymakers and a homogeneous forward— looking financial sector. Two policy regimes are examined; the first is a cooperative agreement where the blocs agree to minimize some weighted average of their welfare losses. The second is a non—cooperative equilibrium.
