Abstract

Progress in recent investigations of nonadiabatic gas surface reactions has been mainly on the experimental side, where highly reactive and clean surfaces may be produced and where detection has been improved. The exploitation of molecular beam techniques for the preparation of the impinging gas molecules and nonadiabatic gas cluster reactions has been significant, such that theory should now take one more step forward.
