Abstract

In recent years several established jurisdictions have introduced a foundation law. What makes those laws a success for the relevant jurisdictions? Does it pay off to follow the asset protection route aggressively, or is it merely a function of having a large distribution channel? Has any of those jurisdictions reinvented the wheel, or are they following the trend of the International Business Companies and are they merely copying and pasting laws in the hope for getting a slice of the foundation cake?
