Abstract

ABSTRACT Initially established at the behest of New York’s diverse Slavic émigré communities, the collections of the NYPL have grown dramatically over the past 125 years. These multi-faceted collections remain a vital research resource for the Slavic and East European studies communities, thanks to generations of librarians, donors, and readers from all walks of life.
