Abstract
The 93Nb NMR spectra are analyzed to obtain phase parameters of the charge-density-wave (CDW) state in 2HNbSe 2. It is shown that the experimental data rule out the hexagonal symmetry of the CDW state. The shapes of both the Knight shift and the electric-field-gradient distributions are consistent with the locally commensurate orthorhombic CDW state within each SeNbSe layer. The phase parameters of this state are found to be close to those obtained for the commensurate 2HTaSe 2 by Pfeiffer et al.
