Abstract
Abstract1H, 13C, 17O and two‐dimensional NMR measurements were carried out to characterize the interactions of polyurethanes with chromium (III) chloride. It was found that CrCl3 forms complexes with polyurethanes via the NH groups of urethane groups as well as via the carbonyl groups of urethane groups and polyester. The interactions of CrCl3 with carbonyl groups can be confirmed by 17O measurements in model compounds.
