Abstract

Cu and Cr NMR of CuCr2−xVxS4 spinels for x between 0 and 1 have been studied at He(l) temperatures by spin-echo techniques. The spectra are explained on the basis of a statistical distribution of Cr and V on the B sites. Our analysis of the transferred hyperfine field at the Cu nuclei fails to show clear evidence for a magnetic moment on vanadium.
