Abstract
Summary Studies on the effect of Rhizobium inoculation, Zn levels at the rate of 0, 2, and 4 ppm and Mo at the rate of 0, 1, and 2 ppm on N stress in chickpea revealed that SNA and SNC (N stress based on leaf area and crop growth rate, respectively) was zero in 4 ppm Zn + 2 ppm Mo + Rhizobium inoculation treatment at 0–45 d and in 2 ppm Zn + 2 ppm Mo + Rhizobium inoculation at 45 to 67 d and 67–90 d of plant growth. Application of Zn and Mo depressed SNA and SNC values. Molybdenum depressed SNA and SNC more effectively when combined with Rhizobium inoculation.
