Next Generation Computing Applications in Business

Abstract

This paper aims at appreciating the need for and relevance Next generation computing and its applications in the business world. India has been acknowledged by the world as an Information Technology Superpower in software services for many years. The economic meltdown has been an eye opener for Business users and IT companies to re-evaluate their strategy. We are seeing a dramatic shift on application of Technology in end-user organizations and solutions provided by IT consulting organizations. It is important that senior managers and IT professionals are aware of the benefits and risks associated with evolving trends before they implement them for their clients or in their organization. This paper attempts to broaden the perspective of the stake holders in any organization by creating awareness about necessity to develop fresh perspectives on next generation computing domain to manage transition at the right time to more effectively cope with, and manage, the growth process. An attempt has also been made to familiarize such people with the Issues and Challenges in the Global Infrastructure Market, relevant techniques and best practices to overcome the Issues and Challenges, and how do we stay competitive in a global business scenario. It is intended to equip the Managers, Administrators, Academicians and workers at different level in the organizational hierarchy to focus on creating a good understanding of the potential areas of the applications of next generation computing techniques and innovative concepts associated with their respective domains. This one-day conference on Next generation computing in GITM have truly given an opportunity to us to deliberate and discuss how organizations can use these evolving trends effectively.
