Abstract

My checking account is in a state of turmoil at this moment. Obviously, I'm not a mathematician! I would venture, nevertheless, to tell of an experience in teaching a primary grade in which the arithmetic classes sometimes turned into mathematics classes, and mathematics classes into a period of the most exciting discovery for all (including me).
