Abstract
All the chemicals and reagents were obtained from SDFine Chemicals and were of analytical grade. Sodium sulphatewas used as drying agent for various solvents used to run thecolumn. All the weighings were done on a single pan metlerbalance. Melting points were determined on microcontrollerbased, digital, automatic-photosensing MEPA melting pointapparatus (LAB INDIA). Ultr aviolet spectra were recorded onLambda bio 20 spectrometer in methanol. Infrared spectra wererecorded on Biored FT IR spectrophotometer using KBr pelletsand CCl
