Abstract
Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) and super-resolution ultrasound (US) are novel ultrasound technologies for differentiating hepatic masses including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Kupffer-phase imaging on Sonazoid CEUS can increase the diagnostic sensitivity for HCC, and facilitates early identification and treatment of HCC. On the other hand, super-resolution US can depict intratumoral vascularity without contrast enhancement, and its diagnostic performance for identifying the spoke-wheel pattern of focal nodular hyperplasia is equivalent to that of CEUS.
