Abstract

The article proves that new psychoactive substances represent social and medical threats to the state; the role of state management mechanisms in preserving and strengthening the health of the population is considered; it was expressed about the inconsistency of the state of preventive and social work with the level of the threat of drug addiction in the state; groups of new psychoactive substances and the relevance of their study are considered, which is caused by a sharp increase in withdrawals, severe intoxications (including fatal consequences). The social consequences of the spread of new psychoactive substances are revealed. Emphasis was placed on the fact that the state should pay more attention to ensuring the material base of toxicological laboratories in the country.
