Abstract
A bifurcation of the optical transmission coefficient for the monostable-bistable transition was found for the first time in experiments with reaction centers of the purple bacteria Rb. Sphaeroides under conditions of optical pumping. A theoretical interpretation of the effect in terms of dynamical self-organization of the structure with a photo-induced electron flux is given.
