Abstract

Australian universities are looking at new models of education such as replacing existing undergraduate degrees with more general undergraduate degrees characterised by disciplinary depth. This paper also discusses funding for universities, marketing, and overseas students. It is adapted from Professor Davis's address to CEDA's Higher Education Forum in Melbourne, 13 June 2007.
