Abstract
This article provides a perspective on the evolution of tank inspection practices, and highlights current practices that are available. Among the inspections covered are internal inspections, roof hatch inspections, wet inspections, diving or underwater inspections, and remotely operated vehicle inspections. A companion article on page six of this issue, Current Practices in Water Tank Maintenance, similarly examines current approaches to tank maintenance.
