Abstract
This article discusses new cleaning and maintenance methods for water storage tanks. Topics include: operation issues created by tank cleaning; sediment disposal problems; underwater cleaning by divers; remotely operated vehicle (ROV) cleaning; and, cathodic protection. A companion article on page one of this issue, New Methods Improve Water Tank Inspection, examines improvements in water tank inspection methods.
