Abstract
In the presence of metal fluorides CF 3 OOC(O)F oxidizes internal perfluoroazaalkenes forming the coresponding oxaziridines in high yields. Reaction of azaalkenes with CF 2 (OF) 2 in the presence of CsF also gives the oxaziridines in modest yields. Evidence is presented for the intermediacy of the peroxyanion CF 3 OO – in these reactions, and the synthesis and characterization of the new oxaziridines (R f , R f N CFR’ f , C2F5 4; n C 4 F 9 , n C 3 F 7 5; i C 3 F 7 , CF 3 6) are described.
