Abstract

1. Addition of diethylthiophosphorous acid to men of acrylic, methacrylic, cinnamic and maleic acids gave high yields of esters of dialkylthiophosphonopropionic, dialkylthiophosphonoisobutyric, dialkylthiophosphonophenylproplonic and dialkylthlophosphonosuccinic acids. 2. Addition was effected of esters of ethyl- and phenylphosphorous acids to esters of crotonic, cinnamic and maleic acids. 3. Addition of dialkylphosphorous acids, of ethylethylphosphonite and of ethyl diethlthiophosphorite to esters of phenylpropiolic and acetylenedicarboxylic acids gave esters of dialkylphosphono- and dialkylthiophosphono- cinnamic acid, esters of di-(dialkylphosphono)- and di-(diethylthiophmphono)- phenylpropionic acid and esters of di-(diethyl-thiophosphono)-succinic acid.
