Abstract

First impressions do count, especially to new employees. By properly managing first impressions and the entire orientation process of new hires, IS managers can create an organization in which employees are more productive and to which they feel more connected. the most effective employee orientation programs are often the most creative ones, and this column helps IS managers be innovative when orienting new staff members.
