His background includes command of USS LSM (R) 514 and USS REMORA (SS489). He has served as a Technical Aide in Underwater Ordnance in the Office of Naval Research, as a guided missile officer in USS CUSK (SSG348), and on the Staff of the Chief of Naval Operations (Submarine Warfare Branch).
