Abstract

The paper is based on interdisciplinary approach focused on architecture (exteriors of construction), philosophy (aesthetics) and technology (digital sound) in order to provide theoretical framework for the relationship between the sound and visual elements in the exterior architecture, and then to re-examine the general relationship between architecture and sound after the practical implementation of live digital sound effects on the exterior of the building. The results of the research may be used and valorized not only in the art, architecture, science, technology etc., but also in some other fields like tourism-especially cultural tourism because of the fact that implementation of sound effects on exterior of buildings could give completely new dimension to artistic/cultural/tourist attraction.
