Abstract
Publisher Summary This chapter describes neutron–deuteron collision and the charge form factor of triton. With the advent of the Faddeev equations, calculations have been carried out on the three nucleon problem with local potentials. To investigate the static properties of the three nucleon systems, a model has been suggested in which the deuteron has been described as an elementary isoscalar vector particle, regardless of its structure, in the neighborhood of the elastic threshold of the neutron deuteron scattering. The neutron–deuteron collision has also been investigated in N/D model with the idea that the deuteron behaves as an elementary isoscalar vector particle. The chapter presents a model of the description of the deuteron as an elementary vector particle, which essentially reduces the three-body collision problem to a two-body problem as the collision between a neutron and the deuteron.
