Abstract
Neutrality means either neutral status or being neutral in emergency management course major. This paper encourages the adoption of the newly revised 'neutrality-oriented approach' in emergency management major in South Korean colleges by improving three components: namely, the colleges' uninventive arrangement, the government's non-professional support and the community's unequal employment opportunity. This study utilised qualitative content analysis as its methodology. The key tenet is that emergency management as a major in Korea has to be characterised by neutrality to remedy its current lopsidedness. The main contribution of this study is the successful analysis of the challenges and the alternatives on emergency management major in Korean colleges.
