Abstract
Production mechanisms in the single- and double-particle inclusive interactions: ..pi../sup -/ p ..-->.. K/sup O//sub s/ + X, LAMBDA/sup 0/ + X, K/sup 0//sub s/ + ..pi../sup +-/ + X, and LAMBDA/sup 0/ + ..pi../sup +-/ + X were studied including cluster effects, resonance, and rapidity correlations. A search was made for K* and ..sigma..* resonances by examining effective mass distributions. It is found that the production of strange particles is not dominated by low mass resonances. (JFP)
