Abstract
Many infants may show alterations in neurologic and behavioral function despite normal or high Apgar scores. Various neurobehavioral tests are described, differing in comprehensiveness and in the emphasis they place on the various aspects of neurologic function and newborn behavior, in order to study the alterations in neonatal neurobehavior produced by obstetric anesthesia and to evaluate the significance of these alterations.
