Abstract

Surv Anesthesiol 2016;60(2):64–66 Thrombocytopenia (platelet count <100,000/μL) is a relative contraindication to neuraxial analgesia because of increased risk of hematoma in parturients. However, withholding neuraxial anesthesia results in suboptimally treated pain and may increase risk of general anesthesia-associated maternal morbidity.
