Abstract

AbstractNew Thermoplastic Elastomers: Formulation; Compounding; and Material Properties. This article described novel thermoplastic elastomers (TPO) consisting of a PP matrix and a synthetic rubber phase crosslinked in a new way with organosilanes. The mechanical and rheological properties of the blend are determined primarily by the phase structures produced in the course of compounding. PE‐ULD can also be used as synthetic rubber in place of EP(D)M, with the attendant advantage of reduced swelling in oils.
