Abstract
Abstract In the course of the so-called requirements plan review, a fundamental discussion is taking place about the priorities in federal transport infrastructure planning. Numerous interest groups are calling for a sole focus on climate protection and environmental goals. This paper argues that such a miopic orientation of transport infrastructure planning will lead to productivity and growth losses. The key lever of climate policy, rather, is decarbonization of transport activities.
