Abstract

The article presents an overview of NEPTUNO’s own survey and research on the pharmacoeconomic analysis of the use of the polypill strategy.
In the NEPTUNO study, it was shown that the use of a cardiovascular polypill containing acetylsalicylic acid, ramipril, atorvastatin (CNIC-Polypill – Trinomy) resulted in significantly lower use of health care resources compared to control groups; significantly lower total and direct medical costs. And this, in turn, led to a decrease in hospitalizations, cardiovascular events and the number of visits to the doctor.
