Abstract

With a blizzard leaving from 22 to 30 inches of snow in the Metro Boston area in January, and 8 more inches dumped two days later, home-visiting staff at the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Boston switched into emergency mode. As one of the oldest and largest VNAs in the country, serving 15,000 patients annually in Greater Boston, the agency was ready.
