Abstract

A theoretical analysis is presented of nearly degenerate multiwave mixing in quasi-equilibrium semiconductors, including many-body effects. Multiwave mixing coefficients are expressed in terms of the single-wave susceptibility and its derivative with respect to carrier density. The theory is illustrated with parameters appropriate for bulk GaAs including the many-body effects of bandgap renormalization and Coulomb enhancement.
