Abstract

The role of near-wall effects (due to a change in the shape of Plateau–Gibbs borders contacting with a wettable wall in vessels whose diameter is comparable to the radius of foam cells) in syneresis of foams is estimated. The hydroconductivity factor is calculated for near-wall channels. A simple technique is proposed for determination of capillary pressure in foam channels.
