Abstract

This article aims to present a set of activities related to the Neabi reactivation and empowerment process at the campus Fortaleza. The Center main project is the extension course “Digitais de dialogos” with children from the traditional community Boca da Barra, located in the neighbourhood called Sabiaguada in the Ceara Capital city. This course was thought according to the demands presented by the leaders of the community involved in the actions of the community library ‘Camboa’ with the purpose of promoting environmental education and the recovery of the indigenous eating habits in that community. The children who attended the course were put in contact with their ancestors’ memory through the weekly workshops, which were held every Saturday morning from September to November 2018.
