Abstract

The essay points out there is another kind of responsibility, namely, the responsibility toward natural sentiments of human being which has been taken by western philosophers in 18th century British philosophy. The philosophers of 18th century have advanced the philosophical movement for naturalization of sentiments in the field of aesthetics while they are taking their philosophical responsibility. This kind of responsibility is different from the responsibility called by Lydia Amir in her book named as Rethinking Philosophers’ Responsibility. By illustrating the process of naturalization of sentiments, the essay would like to show how another kind of responsibility for philosophers is illustrated by enlightenment philosophers in 18th century western civilization.
