Abstract
This is the ninth Alexandria review of developments in national librarianship and libraries around the world. Sections on specific topics precede the section on individual regions and countries; in all sections arrangement is alphabetical by region or country. The review is based on literature published during the period under review, with the exception of some important earlier items received late, and is supplemented by information provided by colleagues in national librarianship
