Abstract
This is the sixth review of developments in national libraries around the world to appear in Alexandria. Slight changes have been made in the style and format followed in the first five articles: sections are arranged alphabetically, followed by the section on individual countries. As before, the review is based on literature published in the years under review, supplemented by information provided from time to time by colleagues in national librarianship
