Abstract
The meeting was held at the Jack Tar Hotel in San Francisco, December 15–18, 1969. AGU's second western exhibition was held concurrently. The exhibits included: The Combined Book Exhibit, Inc.; General Electric Co.; Soiltest, Inc.; Spatial Data Systems, Inc.; TRW Systems Group; California Division of Mines and Geology; Environmental Science Services Administration; Naval Undersea Research and Development Center; Scripps Institution of Oceanography; U.S. Geological Survey; and the Lunar Module.Just under 1000 registrants participated in what was felt to have been a very successful meeting. The complete program with abstracts was published in the November 1969 issue of EOS on pages 601–700.
