Abstract

The Polish Research and Academic Computer Network, called NASK, has been in operation since January 1991. It consists of nine regional localized in major academic centers in Poland. Using statistical time division multiplexing four protocols are allowed in the NASK Network: X.25, IP, DECnet and BSC/SNA. More than 10,000 users are provided with the following services: e-mail, file transfer, remote access to host resources, and job transfer.
