Abstract
ABSTRACTA low dielectric constant poly(arylene ether ketone) containing naphthalene and trifluoromethyl groups (FPNAEK) were prepared and characterized. The FPNAEK showed excellent thermal stability (Td5 = 443 °C ) and low water absorption. The dielectric constant decreased significantly after introducing trifluoromethyl group, in comparision with poly(arylene ether ketone) containing naphthalene (PNAEK). The dielectric constant of FPNAEK is about 2.5 between 1 kHz and 1 MHz at room temperature, which is much lower than that of commercial poly(ether ether ketone) (3.3) and PNAEK (2.78). © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
