Abstract

There is an increasing interest in the construction of hybrid energy scavengers for simultaneously harvesting various forms of energies from nature. This minireview summarizes the progress that has to date been accomplished in the development of multiple energy harvesting nanostructured solar cells. These hybrid cells can in parallel or separately harvest solar, heat, ultrasonic wave, and sound energies. Even though the research on the hybrid nanostructured solar cells has been launched very recently, this timely composed minireview should stimulate many more investigators to enter this exciting field and to push it forward to diverse practical applications.
