Abstract
Spherical clusters of C60 aggregates, formed in a toluene/acetonitrile mixture, are assembled electrophoretically as nanostructured thin films on conducting glass. AFM (see Figure) shows that the C60 clusters (100–300 nm diameter) are packed as 3D arrays, giving the film a highly nanoporous morphology. With rising deposition voltage, the packing density of the fullerene clusters within the film increases.
