Abstract

The present work reports the infrared spectra (FTIR) studied and the optical properties of nano-composite structures obtained from Porous silicon (PS) films and thermally oxidized PS (Ox-PS) films with tetrasulfonated Zinc phthalocyanines (ZnPc) or Rhodamine-6G (Rh-6G) dye molecules (nano-composites: PS/dye and Ox-PS)/dye). The dye adsorption on the PS and Ox-PS surfaces conserved their monomer characteristics preserving the optical absorption and emission features of the dye molecules, i.e., non-dimmer, non-trimmer or non-cluster formation were observed. The PL spectra, of the nano-composites structures, showed highly intensity emission, suggesting a possible application of this material for lasing devices fabrication.
