Abstract

The primary goal of this paper is to point out the current development, current situation, current tendencies and perspectives of the development of tripartism at the national and international level. Emphasis is placed on clarifying the concept, subject, subjects and basic features of tripartism, as well as the analysis of formal and informal forms of tripartite cooperation, with special reference to economic and social councils and other institutional forms of tripartism. Tripartite consultations and negotiations regulate the relations and harmonize the interests between: a) the state, b) the owner of the capital and c) the owner of the labor force. Apart from them, the processes of tripartite cooperation in recent decades have increasingly involved some other entities, for example: consumer representatives, representatives of environmental movements, farmers, retirees and others. Their role in the functioning of tripartite relations is becoming increasingly important, so it can be reasonably expected that the contents of tripartite cooperation in the future will increasingly meet the activities of these entities.
